YouthConnekt month

This came as a commitment of Youth to contribute to the national development through hands on activities. The said month is marked by youth’s passion and energy demonstrated in patriotic activities with innovative strategies that impact positively on the society. This is also a tool of raising awareness among communities about the youth’s capability to the nation-building.

Rwandan youth participate in various outreach activities across the country during the YouthConnekt Month, in a way of playing a part in transforming the socio-economic status of the country.

Background

In 2012, The Government of Rwanda partnered with UNDP to initiate the YouthConnektprogramme that is a multifaceted youth empowerment model focused on leveraging youth employability, entrepreneurship and civic engagement through innovation with a specific mission to serve as portal of connecting youth with their peers, role models, skills and resources for their socio-economic empowerment.
