YouthConnekt Awards

Youthconnekt

Awards

The journey to YouthConnekt Awards started in June 2018 at sector level. Young entrepreneurs presented their projects in front of judges who selected best businesses to compete at district level, where the same process helped to identify winners who participated in the YouthConnekt Awards competition at the provincial level, the competition that enabled 5 young innovators -one per province and City of Kigali- to win 1 million Rwandan francs each.

Before the YouthConnekt Awards competition at National Level, 90 top young innovators attended the three days Boot Camp to equip them with entrepreneurial skills, business management among others skills, and top 30 among them scooped awards.

Since 2012, over 500 young innovators have participated inYouthConnekt Boot Camp, 180 among them have been awarded with cash prizes which resulted in the creation of 8309 new jobs.
